History is full of downright slaughter. In Rwanda , 1994 , in the space of 100 days , there is an estimate that 800,000 Rwandans were killed.

We have all heard of mother’s who actually murder their own children. There are profiteers who just love to see a nice long war take place , so they can make a buck. And let me tell you , war is big , big money.

Some of our inner cities are nothing short of a war zone. I was watching a documentary , and a Mexican Border Patrol officer stated that “ you don’t have to go over to the middle east , to see a war. There’s a war going on right over there” , as he pointed to an area in front of him.

Some terrorist specifically target women and children , they will plant a bomb in an area frequented by young people. King Herod had his mother in law killed , also his wife and two of his sons. (ref. who’s who in the bible) Herod also , after hearing of the birth of Jesus , ordered his soldiers to go around and kill all the male babies who were 2 years old or younger (Matthew 2:16). Just today I was in the check out line, in a store, and there was a young mother in front of me , who had a set of twins , a boy and a girl , and although they were not fully obeying all of their mother’s commands , they were absolutely adorable. Who could ever think of harming such beautiful beings. Yet we hear of it all too often, and now it seems to becoming even more frequent.

Breaking news …… As I’m sitting here writing this article , this news flash just flashed across the wires…….December 24, 2012 (Christmas Eve) , Webster NY , 4 firefighters were shot responding to a fire. 2 of the firemen died , the other two are expected to live. Last year in December in the same town , a 15 yr old boy doused his house with gasoline and set it ablaze , killing his father and two brothers age 16 & 12. His mother and 13 yr old sister escaped with injuries.

After the school massacre in Connecticut I prayed to God and apologized to him for being one of these wicked humans down here on this planet. I apologized for him having to witness such horror from his creation. I apologized to him for the lack of respect that he is shown , thus furthering the chaos on our planet.

Let’s take a look at how Ezra reacted when he was brought word of Israel’s great sins before the Lord , in his own words………

Ezra 9:3-7 And when I heard this thing, I *rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard , and sat down astonied. Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.

And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having *rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the Lord my God. And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee , my God: for our iniquities ( gross injustice or wickedness) are increased over our 

head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.

Since the days of our fathers have we been in great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword (war) , to captivity , and to the spoil, and to confusion of face , as it is this day. 

Ezra 9:10 - 11 - And now, O our God , what shall we say after this? For we have forsaken thy commandments. Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets , saying , The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations , which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.

* Rending the garments, plucking out the hair, and sitting down astonished were signs of inward mourning over some great calamity. Examples: Ezra 9:3-5 , Josh.7:6 ; 1 Sam.4:12 ; 2 Sam. 1:2 ; 13:31 ; 2 Ki. 18:37 ; Job 1:20 ref. Dakes Bible pg. 813

And let us not forget about *abortions. “The Pro-Life Action League’s” statistics , as of August 2011.……since abortions were made legal in 1973 there have been 50 million abortions performed in the US.

In 2008 the “Guttmacher Institute reported there were 1.21 million abortions performed in the US, which amounts to 3,322 abortions per day.  

*An abortion can be a extremely emotional situation for some women. I know there are some situations where an abortion may be in the best interest for both mother and child. And I also know that there are some women who are not aware or perhaps they just really don’t care about how serious it is to abort a child. Some ladies go through some heavy depression after having an abortion.

As I was putting this article together, I was listening to a program online , and a gentleman told a story concerning a woman who had aborted her child. She felt so terribly awful afterwards , and sought the Lord for forgiveness and help. ( I wish more people would ask God for forgiveness and help). So much did she pour out her heart to God , that God let her have a heavenly experience in either a dream or a vision. In this dream she found herself in heaven. She was then approach by a little girl. The little girl said “you don’t know me do you“? The woman replied “no I don’t know who you are“. The little girl said , “ I’m your daughter, I was the girl you aborted , but please don’t worry mommy , I forgive you“.

If we take a good look at our society one can not help but see the great distance we have put between us and God. I’m not talking about all these churches you see alongside the road , nor the “God’s gonna bless me ministries” we see on so called Christian Television

I’m talking about a mindset where God is not even in the picture. To many unbelievers he is a figment of the imagination ,to these deceived Christians who believe in an all powerful , all knowing God. It’s a joke to some people. We are now witnessing the emergence an entire generation of young folk who go to college and listen to  * Desires - Mt. 8:28-31

some of these non fearing God professors , who blatantly dismiss God from the scene, in fact many feel he was never on the scene…. That he never was or has existed. To them it’s all a big joke.

The awful tragedy is when we adopt this type of an attitude, we are leaving ourselves quite vulnerable to the powers of darkness , because God simply backs off , and we find ourselves in harm’s way.

People don’t want to accept the fact that our planet and atmosphere are filled with spirits , good and bad. People will look at you funny when talking of spirits…….Nevertheless they are real and presently amongst us.

Revelation 12:7 - 9 - And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out , that old serpent , called the Devil and Satan, which *deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Revelation 12: 12 - therefore rejoice ye heavens , and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the **inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you , having great wrath , because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. 

Demons or unclean spirits - ref. Dakes study bible pg. 1049

The word demon is not found in scripture, but it means evil spirit or devil. The word devil is used of Satan, the prince of demons (Mt. 9:34 ; 12:24). He is the chief devil and the original source of evil in the universe.

There are over 77 places where the words devil or devils are found, they refer to evil spirits or demons , taken from Greek words ‘daimonion and daimon , meaning evil spirits or devils, and daimonizomai , to have or be possessed by a devil. There is only one prince of devils but many demons. He has an angelic body and cannot enter bodily into anyone, but demons are disembodied spirits and do not seem to be able to operate in the material world except through possession of the bodies of men or beasts.

Words from Finis Dake concerning demons……..

There are demon spirits for every sickness, unholy trait , and doctrinal error known among men.

Words from a preacher…..

Don’t you know that if you love God you’ll love your wife even more , or you’ll love your husband even more, you’ll love your parents and children more , in other words if you hang out with God , you yourself will have good fine qualities.

They must be cast out or resisted in order to experience relief from them. Disease germs , which are closely allied with unclean spirits , are really living forms of corruption which come into the bodies of men bringing them to death. Just as refuse breeds maggots, so man in his fallen state of corruption breeds germs through unclean living and contact with corruption in the fallen world. They are agents of Satan , corrupting the bodies of his victims.

** Inhabiters of the earth and sea - and just who are the inhabiters of the earth and sea?……….that’s right you got it!….you , me , and everyone else on this planet. And the bible is telling us to watch out for this guy because he’s really ticked off, and realizes that he doesn’t have that long of a time to continue feeling this way…..because pretty soon it’s gonna be lights out for him and his administration.

Revelation 20:10 - And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone , where the beast and the false prophet are , and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

As we discuss these horrible deaths whether it’s an abortion or outright murder they say something about conditions on our planet.

Who or what are these matters of darkness that are responsible for murdering people and at times in mass quantities. Whether it’s in the inner cities or the plains of Africa. Sure , evil people are responsible , but what is their driving force? , what is it that makes people want to kill?

Sharing the word of God is not always easy. Mainly because people don’t feel they have to answer to anyone. Just like the old song “It’s your thang (thing J ) do what you want to do”.

You see if you take God out of the picture then folks don’t think that there is any accountability……..but there is.
