What does God have to say

 ??

In this article we will go through the scriptures and look at some of the things the good Lord has to say. Obviously this will only be a very small portion of all the things God has to say throughout the scriptures.

If people would give ear to what God has to say then we all would lead a more blessed and prosperous life. And when I talk of blessings and prospering, I’m talking spiritually. Sure God can bless us with riches and the finer things in life, but one has to realize that when it come to each and every one of us , God’s primary concern is our souls.

Unfortunately this is not taught much, this is not expressed enough. I check out many preachers, online, radio and on television. However there are some very good, God loving, God seeking, soul searching preachers out there. And we should thank God for them. God uses these people in my life all the time. I’m constantly getting a message dealing with an area I need help with right during that time. And I always thank God for it. The comforter, the Holy Spirit , the one that leads and guides unto all truth, is with me always. If you were to ask me, during my commute to work, who I was having a conversation with, I would respond “oh let’s see it may have been the Good Lord, or maybe Jesus , or perhaps The Holy Spirit , oh you might as well say all three“.

1John 5:6-7 - This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For these three bear record in heaven, The Father , The Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

My goal with this website is to encourage people to seek after God. We are indeed living in perilous times, and time is running out. Have you not noticed how quickly time seems to be flying by? People say it all the time , “boy time sure is flying by” , yes it is, it most certainly is, and my question to you is , do you really know God?

Let’s look at some things God has to say……………

Genesis 1:3 - And God said Let there be light and there was light.

The word Let is used 14 times in chapter and 1497 times elsewhere.

It means made appear or made visible expressing permission and purpose in connection with things already existing. The light, firmament, waters, earth, darkness, and all other things were already in existence but had been thrown into chaos, and the laws which governed them were made void. Because of sin their purpose had been annulled.

Then God comes onto this chaotic scene and gives a command and the sun gives light again, as it did all through Lucifer’s kingdom (Jer. 4:23-26 ; 2 Pet. 3:5-7) So the light of days 1, 2 , and 3 came from the sun as has been the case every day since. Gen. 13:8 ; 18:4 ; 24:14-18 ; Mt. 7:4 ; 13:30 ; 27:22 ; Jn. 14:1 ; Phil. 2:5 Ref.s Dake’s Bible page 76

Genesis 3:22 - And the Lord God said, behold the man has become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever. Here’s a reference to The Trinity the word “us” emphasizing that there is more than one separate and distinct person in the Godhead.

The tree of life offered to preserve life indefinitely. Man was created to live forever, however he lost eternal life in the fall. But fret not because The Lion from the tribe of Judah (Christ) brings this back to man.(2 Tim.1:10)

Genesis 6:13 - And God said unto Noah , The end of all flesh is come before me: for the earth is filled with violence through them: and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

In the book of Genesis chapter 11 , men had settled in the land of Shinar ( Babylonia) and came up with this wild idea of making bricks and then using them to build a tower up to heaven.

God comes down to have a look see…Gen.11:5-7 - And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the Lord said , Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Go to, let us (Trinity) go down, and there confound their language , that they may not understand one another’s speech.

Genesis 12:1-3 - Now the Lord said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee: and curse him that curseth thee and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Exodus 3:4-10 - And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said , Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Issac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians , and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh , that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

Job 38:1-8 - Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said , Who is this that darkened counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

Where was thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding.

Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it?

Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?

Job 38:18-23 - Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? Declare if thou knowest it all.

Where is the way that light dwelleth? And as for darkness, where is the place thereof. That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?

Knowest thou it , because thou wast then born? Or because the number of thy days is great?

Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

Job 38: 39-41 & Job 39:1-1 -2 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? Or fill the appetite for the young lions, when they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?

Who provideth for the raven his food? When his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? Or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve? Canst thou number the months that they fulfill? Or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?

Job 39:13- 17 - Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? Or wings and feathers unto the ostrich? Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in the dust, and fretted that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them. She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear.; Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

Job 39:19-20 -

Hast thou given the horse strength? Hast thou clothed his neck with thunder? Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? The glory of his nostrils is terrible.

Job 39:26-30 - Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom and stretch her wings towards the south?

Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high? She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place. From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.

Her young ones also suck up blood and where the slain are, there is she.

Job 40:6-12 - Then answered the Lord unto Job out of the whirlwind , and said, Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?

Hast thou an arm like God? Or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.

Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath; and behold every one that is proud, and abase him. Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.

Isaiah 1:2-4 - Hear, O heavens and give ear O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

Isaiah 43:10-11 -

I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.

Isaiah 44: 24 -

Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself.Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me , and understand that I am the he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isaiah 45:12 - I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

Isaiah 45:18-19 -

For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

Isaiah 55:6-9 - Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 -

But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

Jeremiah 14:10-12 -

Then said the Lord unto me, pray not for this people for their good. When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offerings and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword (war) And by the famine, and by the pestilence.

Thus saith the Lord unto this people, thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins. Thus saith the Lord, let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

Below is a very powerful message from God to Jeremiah. The prophet had been pleading for God to have mercy on his people and spare them from his wrath. But the people have forsaken God, and not repented nor changed from their ways.

God makes it very clear that he has had it with their foolishness. He also states that even if Moses and Samuel were standing before him pleading with him to spare his people, he would not spare them.

This suggests that both Moses and Samuel had stopped God from destroying the people, but in this scenario God’s decision was final.

Refs. DK’s page 1288 (letter i )

This is a clear reminder that we should take God very seriously. Although he is loving ,kind, forgiving, and very merciful, he is also no one to take lightly. If the Lord gets to a point where he is totally fed up

with our actions, the consequences are horrific , as it is stated below….

Jeremiah 15:1-3 Then said the Lord unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, whither shall we go forth? Then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the Lord; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword: and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.

And I will appoint over them four kinds saith the Lord: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. Wow!

Ezekiel 3:16-18 - And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the lord came unto me saying, Son of man, I have made the a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth , and give them warning from me.

Ezekiel 12:1-2 -

The word of the Lord also came unto me saying , Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.

Ezekiel 18:4 -

Behold all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

In Ezekiel chapters 38 , we find a person named Gog, who decides to lead an army against the mountains of Israel (Armageddon).

Below is God’s response to this threat. Also God states that when he performs these things, the whole world is going to know that he is God!

When I say unto the wicked, thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Ezekiel 38:14-23 - Therefore, son of man, prophecy and say unto Gog, thus saith the Lord God: In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?that the heathen may know me , when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land,

Thus saith the lord God , Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against the?

And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face.

For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken , Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord God: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.

And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel: and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord the Holy One in Israel.

Hosea 1:2 - The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to hosea, Go take unto thee a wife of wholesome and children of wholesome: for the land hath committed a great whoredom, departing from the Lord.

Hosea 4:1-3 - Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

In the book of Habakkuk , the prophet is pouring out his sad feelings concerning God not answering his cry for help, concerning the violence, corruption, oppression and injustice he sees going on amongst the people of Judah.

However when God reveals to the prophet that he is quite aware of what’s been going on, and that he has a solution for it , poor Habakkuk is left shaking in his boots.

Below is God’s response in where he describes to Habakkuk the army that he is bringing against Judah because of their sins.

Habakkuk 1:5-10 - Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.

For, lo, I raise up Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwelling places that are not theirs. They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.

Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves, and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.

They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.

And they scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.

Zephania 1:1-3 -

I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the Lord. I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the Lord.

The word of the Lord which came unto Zephania the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah , the son Amariah, the son of Hizkiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.
